The purpose of this series is to make available to students and scholars resources in Arabic and Islamic studies in English and at an affordable price. Volumes will include monographs, collected articles, study texts, translations of fundamental works from Arabic, French, and German, reprints of classic works, and handbooks and other reference works. In selecting volumes, the editors will be guided by a distinguished board of international scholars.
